Vikassheel Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahani has categorically denied rumors about leaving Bihar's opposition Grand Alliance, calling such reports "planted news." In an exclusive NDTV interview, the Deputy Chief Ministerial candidate blamed the BJP for orchestrating delays in opposition campaign activities while expressing confidence in the Mahagathbandhan's electoral prospects under his and Tejashwi Yadav's leadership.

Planted News: Mukesh Sahani On Reports Of Rift With Grand Alliance

New Delhi:

Vikassheel Insaan Party chief Mukesh Sahani has firmly refuted reports suggesting his dissatisfaction with the opposition Grand Alliance and intentions to join the NDA. Speaking exclusively to NDTV, he emphasized there is no basis for such claims, as the Grand Alliance is positioned to win Bihar's ongoing assembly election, with him serving as the Deputy Chief Ministerial candidate.

"When we are forming a government, why would we align with the BJP? This news has been deliberately planted," Sahani stated confidently.

He further explained, "Elections are being contested based on my image and Tejashwi Yadav's leadership. We're working tirelessly day and night to establish a Mahagatbandhan government in Bihar. We have invested our entire careers in this effort."

When questioned about a recent meeting he missed, Sahani attributed it to BJP interference, claiming they systematically delay opposition activities, including flights.

Recent reports had suggested Sahani skipped the meeting in Bhojpur district's Jitoura due to discontent with the Mahagathbandhan, and speculated he might leave the alliance before vote counting on November 14. These reports emerged as Bihar prepares for its second election phase on November 11.

"We consistently receive late permissions for meetings, while the BJP gets approvals for 30 helicopters early morning. Opposition parties face delays at airports for hours and receive late clearances for everything, including flights," he revealed.

"These delays severely impact our scheduling, resulting in canceled meetings. The BJP is deliberately orchestrating these obstacles," Sahani claimed. "Just yesterday, we had to cancel meetings at four locations due to these tactics."

Sahani asserted the BJP has alienated Nishad support and predicted they wouldn't secure even 25 seats in the first round. "As the second round approaches in Bihar, it's clear that people across all demographics—youth, castes, and religions—have rejected the BJP," he said.

"I remain committed to the Mahagathbandhan as this concerns my political career. The circulation of contrary reports about me is simply false," he concluded.
