Tej Pratap Yadav Claims Life Under Threat: Political Tensions Rise in Bihar Election

Janshakti Janta Dal chief Tej Pratap Yadav has expressed fears for his safety during Bihar's assembly elections, claiming his life is under threat. Recently expelled from RJD by his father Lalu Prasad, he continues to extend support to his brother Tejashwi despite family tensions, while contesting independently from Mahua constituency.

Tej Pratap Yadav expressed birthday wishes for his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav amid political tensions.

In a concerning statement made in Patna, Janshakti Janta Dal chief Tej Pratap Yadav revealed on Sunday that he feels his life is "under threat" and fears his enemies might attempt to have him "killed".

The elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad recently established his own political organization after being expelled from the RJD by his father. He is currently contesting from the Mahua constituency in the ongoing Bihar assembly elections.

Speaking to reporters, Yadav mentioned, "My security has been increased...I am under threat. My enemies may even get me killed. Everyone seems like an enemy." However, he refrained from specifically identifying who these enemies might be.

Despite the apparent family rift, Yadav extended birthday wishes to his younger brother Tejashwi, stating, "My blessings are always with him. He should continue to grow further."

Tej Pratap was removed from the RJD on May 25 with a six-year expulsion after reportedly admitting to being "in a relationship" with a woman. He later deleted this social media post, claiming his page had been "hacked." Following this incident, Lalu Prasad Yadav disowned his elder son, citing "irresponsible behavior."

After his expulsion from the party, Tej Pratap alleged there was a "conspiracy" designed to create division between him and his younger brother Tejashwi. He expressed these sentiments through posts on his X handle, where he used the metaphor of 'Jaichand' to describe traitors he believed were behind the family discord.
