UP Man, Heading to Mumbai, Takes Wrong Train. Tragically Dies After Jumping Off

The laborer was returning to Mumbai after spending approximately four months with his family.
Deoria (UP):
A 42-year-old man lost his life after jumping from a moving train that he had accidentally boarded at Salempur railway station, police reported on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Sanjay Prasad, a resident of Rewali village in the Lar police jurisdiction. He was employed as a laborer with a private company in Mumbai.
According to police, Prasad was departing for Mumbai on Thursday night following a four-month stay at his home. His brother had accompanied him to Salempur railway station for his journey.
He inadvertently boarded a train bound for Barhaj and only realized his mistake after the train had begun moving in the Barhaj direction. In a desperate attempt to correct his error, he jumped from the fast-moving train, but fell and was pulled under the carriage. He died immediately at the scene.
Sunil Kumar Patel, Station House Officer of Salempur police station, confirmed that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
