Chennai:
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK leader MK Stalin emphasized that the DMK party was not established overnight or merely to secure the Chief Minister's position. During his address at the DMK 75 Knowledge Festival hosted by the party's youth wing at Valluvar Kottam, Stalin highlighted how the party was established through decades of struggle and sacrifice, sending a powerful message to political opponents before the upcoming state elections.
At the event, Stalin unveiled a commemorative book titled "Colours of Time: Black and Red - DMK 75". He commended Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin for carrying forward the party's legacy to future generations.
"This movement wasn't initiated simply to form a government or designate a successor," Stalin declared. "For 18 years, our leaders and members worked persistently through protests, imprisonment, betrayals, and difficulties. The DMK's journey represents an extraordinary path."
Stalin celebrated the party's historic achievements, asserting that no other political entity can rival DMK's heritage. "Our victories stand as historic milestones. Those unfamiliar with our history attempt to intimidate us. Some dream of achieving success like the DMK. To accomplish that, they would need to demonstrate equivalent dedication and strategic thinking. Remember, there exists only one sun, one moon, and one DMK," he stated.
Through these remarks, the Chief Minister delivered an unambiguous message to political rivals including the AIADMK, BJP, and the newly established TVK. He declared that the 2026 election would mark the beginning of Dravidian Model 2.0, as the DMK seeks to continue its winning streak following successes in 2019, 2021, and 2024.
