Woman Orchestrates Husband's Murder With Lover After Affair Discovery in Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh's Meerut district, a woman orchestrated her husband's murder through her lover after he discovered their illicit relationship.

The victim's body was discovered in a field outside his village with three bullet wounds. His wife, who has three children, publicly grieved his death before disappearing with her paramour.

Police initially suspected robbery as the motive for the killing, but further investigation revealed a more complex situation.

When authorities attempted to question the victim's wife, they learned she was no longer at her residence in Agwanpur village. Investigators subsequently uncovered that the woman, identified as Anjali, was involved in an extramarital affair with a man named Ajay from the same community.

When police sought to interview Ajay, they found he was also absent from his home. The couple was eventually located together in hiding.

During interrogation, Ajay confessed to the crime. He explained that Rahul had become aware of their affair, which greatly distressed Anjali and led her to devise a plan for his elimination.

According to their scheme, Ajay arranged to meet Rahul near the fields. Upon Rahul's arrival, Ajay shot him three times, as revealed by the investigation.

A comparable incident occurred in the same district where another woman facilitated her husband's murder due to an extramarital relationship.

This woman, Kajal, first administered sedatives to her husband before enlisting her lover's help to transport him on a motorcycle to a canal several kilometers from their residence. There, they strangled him with Kajal's scarf and disposed of his body in the waterway.

These cases join a series of spousal homicides in Uttar Pradesh. The incidents also evoke memories of the notorious drum murder in Meerut.

On March 3, Muskan and her lover, Sahil Shukla, killed her husband, Saurabh Rajput. They reportedly dismembered the body into four sections, placed them in a drum, filled it with cement, and fled to Himachal Pradesh.

The woman later admitted to the crime to her relatives, who subsequently informed law enforcement.
