In what could be described as a miraculous turn of events, a 70-year-old man in Madhya Pradesh's Indore who was presumed dead by his family suddenly started breathing again as funeral preparations were underway, according to a family member's statement on Friday.
Sanjay Vaid shared with PTI that his father, Makhanlal Vaid, had been hospitalized on November 1 after suffering a brain hemorrhage at a private medical facility in the city.
"After my father underwent surgery, the operation was initially successful. However, his condition deteriorated shortly afterward, necessitating life support," Sanjay explained.
The family made the difficult decision to bring him home when his condition showed no signs of improvement over an extended period.
Following the removal of life support on Thursday, the family believed that Makhanlal had stopped breathing and had passed away.
"I announced my father's death on social media and included details about the funeral procession. We began making funeral arrangements, and relatives and friends started gathering at our home," Sanjay recounted.
In an astonishing development, within just thirty minutes of being brought home, Makhanlal began breathing again.
Sanjay Vaid described this unexpected recovery as nothing short of a miracle and stated that his father is now recuperating at home.
"We are all praying for my father's speedy recovery," said Sanjay, who promptly posted an update on social media informing everyone about his father's remarkable revival.
