Amit Shah Warns Bihar: "Jungle Raaj Will Return" If NDA Loses in Upcoming Election Phase

Union Home Minister Amit Shah warns Bihar voters about the potential return of "jungle raaj" if they don't support NDA candidates in the upcoming second phase of elections on November 11. Shah highlighted PM Modi's achievements in making former Naxal-dominated areas like Jamui peaceful while criticizing opposition parties. The second phase will conclude the Bihar election process with voting across 122 seats in 20 districts.

Jungle Raaj Will Return If: Amit Shah Warns Bihar Amid Elections

Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to creating a "Naxal-free India".

Jamui (Bihar):

During his Friday address in Jamui, Union Home Minister Amit Shah confidently predicted a National Democratic Alliance (NDA) victory while cautioning residents about the possible resurgence of "jungle raaj" if voters stray from selecting either the Lotus (BJP symbol) or Arrow (JDU symbol) in the upcoming second phase of Bihar polls scheduled for November 11.

"If you make even a slight mistake by deviating from the lotus or arrow symbol, jungle raj will return once again. Does Jamui want jungle raj?" Shah questioned the gathered crowd in Jamui.

The Minister addressed residents at a public rally in Jamui district, which votes during the second polling phase on November 11. Jamui encompasses four assembly constituencies, with Shah urging citizens to "give all four seats to the NDA's account."

While commending the NDA-led Bihar government's initiatives, Shah highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts toward making "India Naxal free," noting how peaceful polling now occurs across various districts, including previously Naxal-dominated areas like Jamui.

"In this area, approximately 150 Naxals once hijacked the Dhanbad-Patna Express, killing three people. The region was completely under Naxal control, but PM Modi has succeeded in making this area Naxal free. Previously, people could only vote until 3 PM, but now voting continues until 5 PM," Shah explained.

Taking aim at Lalu Prasad Yadav, Shah claimed the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) would establish a new "Apaharan" (kidnapping) department if they secured power.

"If we win, we'll establish a new department ensuring Bihar becomes flood-free. If Lalu's son wins, he'll create a new department for 'Apaharan' (Kidnapping and abduction).... During the past decade, PM Modi has developed infrastructure including roads, bridges, ethanol factories, and sugar factories across Bihar. The next five years will focus on creating a fully developed state...We will prevent 'jungle raj' from returning," he asserted.

Discussing the first phase of Bihar elections concluded on November 6, Shah declared that the "Lalu-Rahul" parties—Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)—had been "wiped out" and expressed hope for similar results in Jamui.

"The first election phase concluded yesterday. Lalu-Rahul's party has been eliminated. They shouldn't gain any foothold in Jamui either. All four seats here must go to the NDA's account."

Jamui district contains four assembly constituencies: Jamui, Jhajha, Chakai, and the Scheduled Caste reserved constituency of Sikandra.

BJP is contesting the Jamui assembly seat with incumbent MLA Shreyasi Singh facing RJD's Shamshad Alam. The remaining three seats were distributed among allies, with Janata Dal (United) fielding candidates Damodar Rawat and Sumit Kumar Singh in Jhajha and Chakai constituencies respectively, while Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) contests Sikandra with candidate Prafull Kumar Singh.

The first phase saw voting across 121 seats in 18 districts, with 3.75 crore eligible voters. The second phase on November 11 will cover 122 seats across 20 districts, concluding the Bihar election process, with vote counting scheduled for November 14.

The second phase includes districts such as Aurangabad, Jahanabad, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, Bhagalpur, Purnia, and others.
