British National Escapes During Layover: Major Security Breach at Delhi International Airport

The UK national was traveling from Bangkok to London with a stopover in Delhi when he evaded security protocols and fled into the city.

Upon arrival on October 28, Patrick slipped away from the immigration counter while processing formalities and successfully escaped the airport premises.

Police sources confirmed that the foreigner successfully bypassed security measures and left the airport unauthorized.

Authorities have initiated an extensive search operation to locate the missing British national.

Multiple investigation agencies are currently working to determine how the deportee managed to circumvent airport security systems.

Officials have registered a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the incident, and airline personnel are being questioned about the security breach.

A senior police officer stated, "A security lapse was reported at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport after a British national, who was to be deported to the UK via Thailand, escaped from the immigration area and entered the city. Delhi Police and security agencies have launched a search operation and filed an FIR while questioning airline staff."

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which oversees airport security, is collaborating with the Bureau of Immigration and Delhi Police in a coordinated effort to track down the escapee.

Authorities are analyzing airport surveillance footage to reconstruct the sequence of events and identify security vulnerabilities that enabled the escape.
