Apple's iPhone 17 series officially launched in India today, drawing enormous crowds and creating vibrant scenes at flagship stores nationwide as enthusiasts rushed to be among the first owners.

In Delhi, the Apple Saket store witnessed hundreds of dedicated fans forming queues before dawn. Social media platform X featured videos capturing the moment when excited customers erupted in cheers as store gates opened, with many having waited through the night to secure the latest model.

According to IANS reports, enthusiastic customers began lining up at midnight, several hours before the official 8 am opening time.

In Bengaluru, viral videos circulated on X platform showing similar excitement. One early customer expressed his enthusiasm after purchasing the new device.

"I have been an early buyer for the last few years. We have been waiting since last week. We booked four units, and this model is comparatively better than the last three models," he told PTI.

Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex Apple store experienced comparable enthusiasm, with videos documenting extensive queues of eager customers awaiting the iPhone 17 series.

One dedicated fan who traveled from Ahmedabad, Gujarat specifically for the launch told ANI, "I come from Ahmedabad every time Apple launches a new iPhone. I have been waiting since 5 am."

Another customer proudly displayed his new purchases, saying, "I was waiting in line since 12 midnight and now I have got it."

The excitement occasionally spilled over into tension, with a small altercation breaking out among individuals in the crowd outside Mumbai's BKC Jio Centre. Footage shared by PTI showed hundreds gathering outside the flagship store, all eager to be first purchasers.

As crowds swelled throughout the morning, space became limited in the packed queue. A minor dispute between two people escalated into a physical confrontation before security staff quickly intervened to restore order.

The iPhone 17 series ranges in price from Rs 82,900 to Rs 2,29,900. The devices became available in India on Friday, with both customers who pre-ordered and walk-in shoppers forming lines to make their purchases.

To encourage sales, Apple's retail partners and distributors have introduced various promotional offers, including cashback incentives, exchange bonuses, and extended EMI options. Customers upgrading from previous iPhone models can also benefit from special package deals on accessories and wearables.
