A 14-year-old boy who disappeared from his school in Delhi was discovered at Nanak Piao Gurdwara, where he had sought refuge and sustenance after avoiding classes due to poor academic results, authorities announced on Thursday.
The teenager, a Class 10 student attending a government school in the Roop Nagar district, was reported missing on Monday when his father, who resides in Dayalpur, filed a missing person report.
Investigators reviewed footage from approximately 60 CCTV cameras and determined that the boy was last captured on video near Nanak Piao Gurdwara in Rana Pratap Bagh.
Following thorough search efforts, the boy was located unharmed inside the gurdwara.
Authorities stated that the student had been distressed about his academic performance and decided to skip school. When hunger set in later, he went to the gurdwara for food.
After proper verification procedures, the child was reunited with his parents, bringing relief to the worried family.
Police have concluded the case as no criminal activity was detected.
