A 27-year-old IT professional was reportedly experiencing depression due to personal matters prior to his death.

Police discovered the body of a 27-year-old IT engineer hanging in a hotel room located in the Indirapuram area.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Nimish Patil identified the deceased as Rajat Pratap Singh, who resided in Raksha Puram Colony in Meerut and was employed by a private company in Noida.

According to authorities, initial findings from the post-mortem examination suggest that Singh died by suicide.

Singh had been a guest in room 203 of the hotel for three days prior to the incident. Hotel staff alerted police after Singh failed to respond to multiple knocks on his door.

Upon arrival, police opened the room with witnesses present. They found various documents and empty alcohol containers in the room. Officials reported that no suicide note was discovered.

Although Singh's relatives have not submitted an official complaint, they have suggested that he was murdered.

Police are proceeding with the investigation as a suicide case and have begun reviewing security camera footage to identify any visitors during Singh's stay at the hotel.

According to family statements, Rajat had been struggling with depression related to a personal issue. The investigation continues to be active.
