28-Year-Old Man Dies By Suicide After Public Urination Video Goes Viral in Maharashtra

In a tragic incident in Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a 28-year-old man took his own life after a video showing him and his friend urinating in public went viral on social media.

Police reports indicate that the man jumped into a well in Thokmal Tanda in Jalna following persistent harassment and threatening messages and calls regarding the incident.

The controversial video captured the two friends urinating beneath a sign that read "Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar" at a railway station.

After the footage gained significant attention online, both men publicly apologized for their behavior. However, one of the individuals reportedly continued to face harassment and threats via phone calls and messages, according to police statements.

The video was widely shared across multiple Instagram accounts, including one belonging to a local Shiv Sena district leader.

Police officers reported that "overwhelmed by the continuous harassment, the man informed his friends he could no longer cope with the situation before taking his life."

Authorities have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against those responsible for circulating the video and provoking the harassment.
