Rahul Gandhi Alleges Massive Voter Fraud in Haryana Elections: 25 Lakh Votes Manipulated

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition, makes serious allegations of electoral fraud in Haryana Assembly elections, claiming 25 lakh votes were manipulated. He presented evidence of voter list duplications, including multiple IDs with identical photographs, while Election Commission sources questioned Congress's role during voting day and BJP dismissed the allegations as "fake issues."

Rahul Gandhi made serious allegations regarding Haryana election during a press conference today

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, held a press conference today where he revealed his much-anticipated "H bomb" - allegations of extensive voter fraud in the Haryana Assembly elections held last year.

Gandhi claimed that approximately 25 lakh votes were fraudulently manipulated in Haryana, which has a total electorate of 2 crore voters. "This suggests one in eight Haryana voters are fake, representing 12.5 percent," he stated.

According to Gandhi, numerous Congress candidates reported irregularities after the election. He highlighted that all exit polls had predicted a Congress victory in Haryana, yet the BJP emerged victorious. Gandhi presented video evidence of BJP leader and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini telling media before results that "arrangements" had been made to secure BJP's win. "What were these arrangements? This statement came two days after voting when everyone predicted Congress would sweep the election. Yet this gentleman appeared confident and smiling about BJP's arrangements," Gandhi questioned.

Gandhi noted this marked the first instance in Haryana's electoral history where postal voting results contradicted polling booth outcomes. "I'm challenging the Election Commission and India's democratic process with 100 percent proof. We're certain a deliberate plan transformed Congress's landslide victory into defeat," he asserted.

He explained that Congress lost eight constituencies by razor-thin margins, including one by merely 32 votes. These margins collectively totaled 22,779 votes. "Congress lost the Haryana election by just 22,779 votes, demonstrating how incredibly close it was," Gandhi emphasized.

To substantiate his claims, Gandhi presented evidence of voter list irregularities, including 22 entries featuring the same photograph of a Brazilian model available on a stock photo website. "This Brazilian woman's image appears 22 times on the voter list under different names like Sweety, Seema, and Saraswati. She supposedly votes at 10 different polling booths in Haryana with multiple identities. This indicates a centralized operation," he explained.

Gandhi provided further examples of duplication, showing 100 voter IDs with identical photographs in a single Assembly segment. "This individual could theoretically vote 100 times in Haryana. This creates opportunities for BJP supporters from other states to cast fraudulent votes," he alleged. He also displayed another woman's photograph appearing 223 times across voter lists in two polling stations. "This explains why the Election Commission destroys CCTV footage from polling booths," he claimed.

"The Election Commission could instantly eliminate duplicates. Why don't they? Because they're assisting the BJP," Gandhi stated, presenting multiple instances of voter IDs with identical photos but different names. He further alleged that 3.5 lakh entries were purged from Haryana's electoral rolls before the elections.

Election Commission sources responded by questioning what Congress polling agents were doing during voting day. "They should object if an elector has already voted or if they doubt someone's identity," a source remarked. They also questioned whether Gandhi supports the Special Intensive Revision designed to remove duplications and outdated entries from voter lists.

The source challenged Gandhi's assertion that these alleged fake voters all supported BJP: "If Congress leader Pawan Khera appears on voter lists in two states, is he voting twice?" They also questioned why Congress didn't file objections during the Special Intensive Revision in Bihar.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju dismissed Gandhi's allegations as "fake issues." "Polling is currently happening in Bihar, yet he's discussing Haryana. With nothing left to say about Bihar, he's shifting attention to Haryana. The Opposition Leader should address serious matters," Rijiju stated.

"They claim they were winning according to exit polls and opinion polls. However, there's always discrepancy between predictions and actual results. This is common and not unprecedented. We never leveled accusations against the Election Commission," he added. Rijiju noted that BJP never questions results when opposition parties win elections and wondered why Congress doesn't question outcomes when they win. He accused Gandhi of attempting to provoke young citizens while asserting they remain loyal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
