Tragic Discovery: 15-Year-Old Girl Found Murdered With Signs of Torture in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich District

In Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district, a 15-year-old girl disappeared from her residence two days ago. Her brother filed a police report yesterday, naming three men as suspects in her kidnapping. Today, authorities discovered her body in a garden near her home. The teenager's remains revealed evidence of horrific torture.

The perpetrators had cut her throat, fractured her arms and legs, and inserted sand and glue into her nasal passages. Family members allege that the accused sexually assaulted her before taking her life and abandoning her body. One relative was heard grieving beside her remains, repeatedly stating that she had been raped.

Harshita Tiwari, Mihipurwa circle officer in Bahraich, confirmed that authorities have registered a case against three individuals, with one suspect currently in custody. She added that the victim's body has been sent for post-mortem examination and that investigators are exploring all possible angles in the case.

While opposition parties have criticized the ruling BJP government regarding crimes against women in Uttar Pradesh, recent National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data indicates that the state maintains a comparatively low crime rate of approximately 58.6. According to the report, Uttar Pradesh represents about 14.81 percent of the total reported crimes against women nationwide in absolute numbers (4,48,211).
