Shocking CCTV Footage Shows Bengaluru Domestic Worker Killing Pet Dog in Apartment Elevator

A domestic worker has been arrested after being captured on CCTV footage fatally slamming a pet dog inside an apartment elevator in Bengaluru.

The disturbing incident occurred on Friday in Bagalur, a northern Bengaluru locality.

The CCTV footage shows the domestic worker, identified as Pushpalatha, violently pulling the dog's leash and slamming it against the floor as the elevator doors close.

When the elevator doors reopened, one dog can be seen walking out, while Pushpalatha drags the lifeless body of the other dog out of the lift.

According to the police report, the dog's owner had employed Pushpalatha on September 11 to care for her four-year-old pet dog at a monthly salary of Rs 23,000. After discovering her pet had died, the owner questioned Pushpalatha, who denied any involvement in the incident.

Following a review of the apartment's CCTV footage, a complaint was filed, and authorities registered an FIR for animal cruelty. Police have confirmed Pushpalatha's arrest and stated that further investigation is ongoing.
