Violent Brawl Over Chicken Fry Disrupts Wedding Ceremony in Uttar Pradesh

A celebratory wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district turned into a scene of turmoil when attendees crowded around the chicken fry counter, triggering a violent confrontation that resulted in multiple injuries.

The confrontation erupted between relatives from both the groom's and bride's families regarding the distribution of chicken fries. The situation rapidly escalated, necessitating police intervention. The wedding ceremony was ultimately completed with law enforcement present to maintain order.

According to an eyewitness who spoke with NDTV, "We attended the wedding celebration. There was a crowd gathered at the chicken fry station. While guests were attempting to obtain chicken fries, a dispute began. Women and children were present, and a stampede ensued. One individual has been taken to the hospital and is in critical condition."

The eyewitness further mentioned that the environment became chaotic, with women and children caught in the disturbance. One attendee, reportedly suffering from a heart condition, was severely injured and required hospitalization.

Video footage captured people running in disarray and assaulting one another, with individuals shouting and exchanging blows.

Responding to calls from wedding guests, police arrived at the location and dispersed the fighting crowd. To prevent additional altercations, several officers remained on site until the marriage ceremony was fully completed.
