Ranga Reddy (Telangana): A devastating road accident occurred on Monday when a tipper lorry transporting gravel collided head-on with a public transport bus, resulting in 16 fatalities and leaving eight others injured in this district, according to police reports.
The collision took place near Chevella, where the tipper truck crashed into the Telangana Road Transport Corporation (RTC) vehicle. The impact caused the gravel from the truck to spill onto the bus, exacerbating the severity of the accident.
"16 people died, and eight were injured," confirmed a police official when speaking to PTI about the tragic incident.
Emergency responders worked to extract passengers from the damaged bus following the collision, the official added.
