Tragic Accident: 1.5-Year-Old Dies After Falling into Hot Water Bucket in Uttar Pradesh

Etah: A tragic incident occurred when a 1.5-year-old toddler lost his life after accidentally falling into a bucket containing boiling water, according to police statements on Sunday.

The child, identified as Ayush, was the son of Mukesh. The toddler had been playing on his bed when he unfortunately slipped and fell into a nearby bucket filled with hot water. The mother had prepared the hot water for laundry purposes, as reported by Kotwali Dehat Station House Officer Jitendra Kumar Gautam.

After sustaining severe burns, the child was immediately transported to the emergency department at Veerangana Avanti Bai Medical College located in Etah. Upon arrival, medical professionals pronounced the child deceased.

"The mother had positioned the bucket of hot water adjacent to the bed, and while playing, the child accidentally fell into it. The family has since taken the child's remains home for cremation without conducting a post-mortem examination," stated the SHO.
