Congress MP Akhilesh Singh Confirms Rahul Gandhi's Active Role in Bihar Election Campaign

According to Singh, Congress is positioned in a "good state" as Bihar Assembly elections approach.

During NDTV's Bihar Power Play Conclave, Congress MP Akhilesh Singh stated that Rahul Gandhi is as active in Bihar before the Assembly elections as "any other leader would be".

Singh elaborated, "Why should Rahul Gandhi be involved in ticket distribution? There's a system in place. When everything is functioning well, why would Rahul Gandhi need to intervene? Once ticket distribution was completed, he arrived and conducted a joint rally with Tejashwi Yadav and other Mahagathbandhan leaders. He also participated in the Nalanda rally. Even today, Priyanka Gandhi isn't using helicopters but is holding a rally in Begusarai."

Singh expressed confidence that Congress is well-positioned for the Bihar Assembly elections and will demonstrate improved performance compared to previous results.

"Congress will deliver a surprising outcome in Bihar on November 14. I can confidently state that our tally will be better this time. We'll execute a stronger strike against the JDU and BJP. We're contesting in Lakhisarai, where Chief Minister Vijay Sinha is running, and we're winning there," Singh declared.

He further added, "Regarding the Rashtriya Janata Dal, there's no such thing as a friendly fight."

Addressing seat distribution matters, the Congress MP acknowledged receiving "some good seats and some bad seats."

"Seat distribution was based on discussions about the 70 contested seats. Some good seats were contested. I cannot claim that all quality seats were allocated to Congress. Last time as well, prime seats weren't given to us. However, when forming an alliance, it's essential to collaborate and reach consensus," he explained.

Elections for the 243-member Bihar Assembly will be conducted in two phases on November 6 and 11, with vote counting scheduled for November 14.
