The violent confrontation took place in Chitri village of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday night.

Law enforcement challenges in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district appear to be worsening, as evidenced by a series of troubling incidents that highlight criminals' increasing boldness.

A recent disturbing event from the Sehore police station jurisdiction in Shivpuri shows two groups engaged in a violent stick fight directly in front of police officers. The altercation, which was captured on video in Chitri village Wednesday night, reportedly stemmed from a financial dispute over Rs 10,000.

Sehore police station sources indicate that Devi Singh Solanki from Baderi village had previously lent Rs 10,000 to his brother-in-law Balli Vaishya. When Solanki attempted to recover the money on Wednesday evening, an argument erupted that quickly escalated into physical violence.

The situation intensified when Balli Vaishya's three sons—Vikas, Akash, and Golu—joined the confrontation, while Devi Singh's nephew, Chhotu Parihar, attempted to protect his uncle. During the melee, Chhotu suffered a severe head injury from stick attacks. He was initially transported to Sehore Hospital before being transferred to Gwalior for specialized treatment.

Particularly concerning is that the entire violent episode unfolded in the presence of Dial 112 police personnel. Viral social media footage clearly depicts officers standing by as both groups attacked each other with sticks and rods. The police vehicle was also seen departing during the ongoing conflict.

Addressing the incident, Sehore police station officials acknowledged the Wednesday night clash, stating, "We have registered a case against both parties and initiated necessary action. The matter is being thoroughly investigated."
