NDA's Bihar Election 2025 Manifesto: One Crore Jobs, Women Empowerment, and Major Infrastructure Development

The National Democratic Alliance has unveiled its comprehensive manifesto for Bihar assembly elections 2025, promising one crore government jobs, transforming women into 'lakhpati didis', and major infrastructure development including four international airports and seven expressways, alongside significant commitments for farmers, education, and social justice initiatives.

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has released its manifesto just days before Phase 1 voting for the Bihar assembly elections 2025, featuring significant promises including one crore government jobs in a state known for widespread migration. The manifesto places special emphasis on women empowerment initiatives, with goals to transform one crore women into 'lakhpati didis', alongside major infrastructure development plans including four international airports and seven expressways across Bihar. Additional promises include constructing 50 lakh new permanent houses, providing free ration, 125 units of complimentary electricity, free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, and social security pension under the PM Awas Yojana.

The 'Sankalp Patra' was unveiled by BJP chief JP Nadda and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna, with senior alliance leaders in attendance. The coalition includes the BJP, JDU, Chirag Paswan's LJP, and additional parties.

In addressing youth concerns and employment, the manifesto's most significant announcement focuses on creating employment opportunities in a state that experiences massive worker migration annually. The NDA has committed to conducting a skill census to provide skill-based employment for every young person in Bihar. "We will establish Bihar as a global skilling centre with mega skill centres in every district," the manifesto states. Additionally, several 'Centres of Excellence' for sports will be developed in Bihar Sports City and across different divisions.

For women empowerment, the Chief Minister's Women's Employment Scheme will offer financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh to women. The NDA has pledged to create one crore 'Lakhpati Didis', empowering women to earn one lakh rupees annually. The alliance also aims to transform women entrepreneurs into crorepatis through 'Mission Crorepati.'

Infrastructure development plans include constructing seven expressways and modernizing 3,600 km of railway tracks, along with establishing international airports in Patna, Darbhanga, Purnia, and Bhagalpur, plus metro networks across four cities. Air connectivity will expand to 10 additional cities.

The manifesto includes promises to build factories and 10 new industrial parks in each district. If returned to power, the NDA commits to developing at least 100 MSME parks and more than 50,000 cottage enterprises.

Other infrastructure commitments include a defense corridor and semiconductor manufacturing park with global capability centers, alongside a world-class medical city and medical colleges in every district. The NDA aims to establish Bihar as South Asia's textile and silk hub.

For farmers, the manifesto guarantees MSP (minimum support price) for all crops and Rs 3,000 under the new Karpuri Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. This will increase total farmer assistance from Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000, while fishermen's assistance will double from Rs 4,500 to Rs 9,000. The government also pledges Rs 1 lakh crore investment in agricultural infrastructure.

Education initiatives include developing an Education City and bringing campuses of world-leading universities to Bihar. Free quality education from 'KG to PG' is promised for students from economically disadvantaged families, along with nutritious breakfast with midday meals in schools.

For social justice, residential schools will open in every subdivision for Scheduled Caste (SC) students. Monthly assistance of Rs 2,000 will support SC students pursuing higher education, while those from Extreme Backward Classes (EBC) will receive assistance up to Rs 10 lakh.

The NDA has also committed to developing Mother Janaki's (Sita's) birthplace into a world-class spiritual city named 'Sitapuram'. Additional projects include constructing Vishnupad and Mahabodhi Corridors, and developing Ramayana, Jain, Buddhist, and Ganga Circuits.
