Authorities have apprehended a Bangladeshi national who was reportedly residing illegally in Bengaluru after he attempted to vocalize religious slogans inside a temple, creating tension in the surrounding area.
Police officials and a local witness stated that the incident occurred Tuesday morning when the individual, identified as Kabir Mondal, entered Venugopal Temple in Devarabeesanahalli, near Marathahalli, while loudly proclaiming "Allah Hu Akbar".
According to police reports, Mondal allegedly attempted to damage the idols at the temple entrance using his footwear.

Upon noticing the alleged illegal immigrant's actions, a crowd gathered and restrained him by tying him to a pole until police arrived. The community members demanded stringent action from both central and state authorities against the accused.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Mondal, leading to his arrest. They added that a separate case has been registered against individuals who assaulted him before police reached the location.
Investigations are currently underway to verify the man's nationality and immigration status, as well as to determine the motivation behind his actions, according to police statements.
