Bihar Grand Alliance Launches Manifesto: Promises Government Job for Every Family Within 20 Days

The opposition Grand Alliance in Bihar has released its election manifesto featuring 25 key promises, led by Tejashwi Yadav's pledge to provide a government job to one member from every family within 20 days of forming government. Other commitments include permanent status for Jeevika Didis, contractual workers, and a return to the Old Pension Scheme, as the alliance challenges the NDA to present their own vision for Bihar's development.

The opposition Grand Alliance in Bihar was the first to release its election manifesto, highlighting a series of promises with job creation as the centerpiece.

"Within 20 days, one member from every family will be given a government job," states the first point of the 25-point manifesto, formally establishing Tejashwi Yadav's main campaign promise to voters.

The document also pledges that Jeevika Didis will receive permanent status as government employees. Additional key points include making all contractual and outsourced workers permanent and returning to the Old Pension Scheme.

"The INDIA bloc manifesto for Bihar polls has 25 major points assuring practical solutions," stated Tejashwi Yadav at the release event, which was also attended by Mukesh Sahani, the Deputy Chief Ministerial candidate of the Grand Alliance and chief of Vikassheel Insaan Party, along with Congress's Pawan Khera and CPI(ML)'s Dipankar Bhattacharya.

"We have announced the Chief Ministerial face as well. Today, we are going to release the 'Tejashwi Pran Patra' on how we are going to work for the next five years," Yadav continued.

"We want the NDA to announce the name of their Chief Minister. What schemes do they have? What is their vision, and how are they going to take Bihar forward? We have given a roadmap, a vision, and we are clear that we will make Bihar number one. They only speak negative things and make allegations about our leaders," he later told reporters, criticizing the NDA for not yet releasing its manifesto.

The Grand Alliance had previously endured BJP criticism regarding its slow progress in campaigning, seat-sharing discussions, and the absence of Congress's Rahul Gandhi from the campaign trail.

The opposition bloc gained an advantage when it announced its Chief Ministerial candidate, mocking the NDA for not yet making a similar announcement.

Tejashwi Yadav, the Chief Ministerial candidate of the Grand Alliance, dominated the event, with his face prominently featured on the manifesto. Rahul Gandhi appeared less prominently, with only a small thumbnail image in the corner of the document's cover.
