Rajasthan Officer's Wife Earns Rs 37.54 Lakh 'Salary' From 2 Firms Without Working

A significant corruption case has emerged in Rajasthan involving government official Pradyuman Dixit and his wife Poonam Dixit.

The investigation revealed that Poonam Dixit collected approximately Rs 37.54 lakh in salary payments from two private firms without ever reporting to work at either company.

This fraudulent arrangement was exposed after a petition was filed with the Rajasthan High Court, prompting an official inquiry.

Pradyuman Dixit, who serves as a joint director in the Department of Information Technology at RajComp Info Services, allegedly orchestrated these illegal payments by manipulating the tender process.

Following the Rajasthan High Court's directive issued on September 6 last year, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) launched a preliminary investigation on July 3 this year.

The investigation uncovered that Pradyuman had pressured two companies, OrionPro Solutions and Treegen Software Limited, to employ his wife and provide her with monthly compensation in exchange for approving their government tenders.

The ACB discovered that between January 2019 and September 2020, these two companies transferred a total of Rs 37,54,405 to five personal bank accounts belonging to Poonam Dixit, with these transfers being classified as salary payments.

Throughout this entire period, Poonam Dixit never once appeared at either company's office locations.

Further implicating himself in the scheme, Pradyuman Dixit personally approved the fraudulent attendance records for his wife.

The investigation also revealed that Poonam Dixit was simultaneously receiving payments from both companies, collecting a salary from OrionPro Solutions while also receiving payments from Treegen Software Limited under the pretense of "freelancing" work.

During this timeframe, both companies benefited by securing government contracts through the tender process overseen by Pradyuman Dixit.
