Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Joins Chirag Paswan for Traditional Chhath Puja Kharna Prasad Ceremony

On Sunday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid a visit to Union Minister Chirag Paswan's residence to participate in the 'kharna prasad' ritual, an essential component of Chhath Puja celebrations that precedes the arduous 36-hour fast observed by devotees.

The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief shared images of the JD(U) supremo at his Shri Krishna Puri home in Patna across social media platforms.

"Thank you, honourable Chief Minister, for coming to my home and partaking of Kharna Prasad. My family and I are grateful for the good wishes you expressed during the meeting," Paswan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The photographs captured Kumar alongside Paswan and his close family members, including his mother Reena and brother-in-law Arun Bharti, who serves as the LJP(R) MP from Jamui. This constituency was previously represented twice by Chirag Paswan himself before he moved to Hajipur, a seat long associated with his father.

Paswan also included a message in Hindi expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for visiting his residence, accepting the prasad, and extending Chhath Puja greetings to his family members.
