Horrific Assault on Kanpur Law Student: Stomach Slashed and Fingers Severed Following Medication Price Dispute

In a shocking incident of violence in Kanpur, a 22-year-old law student suffered life-threatening injuries when a dispute over medicine pricing escalated into a brutal attack. Abhijeet Singh Chandel's stomach was cut open and fingers severed by four assailants after an argument at a medical shop. Currently hospitalized in critical condition, the case highlights growing concerns about public safety as police continue their investigation.

A 22-year-old law student from Kanpur University was brutally assaulted following an altercation with a medical shop operator, resulting in severe injuries including a cut-open stomach and chopped fingers.

Abhijeet Singh Chandel, a first-year law student, is currently in critical condition at a local hospital after receiving 14 stitches to his head following the violent attack.

The incident began with a disagreement over medication pricing between Chandel and medical shop attendant Amar Singh. The situation rapidly escalated into violence when Amar Singh was joined by his brother Vijay Singh and two others identified as Prince Raj Srivastava and Nikhil.

According to police reports, the four assailants struck the student on his head, causing him to collapse as blood streamed down his face. They then proceeded to attack his abdomen, slicing it open with a sharp weapon.

Despite his injuries, Abhijeet attempted to flee toward his residence while calling for help. The attackers pursued him and severed two fingers from one of his hands before finally being scared off by local residents who responded to the student's cries for assistance.

Law enforcement has registered a case and launched an investigation into the violent assault.
