Political discourse across Bihar has reached fever pitch. From rural gatherings to bustling tea stalls in Patna, one question dominates every discussion: Who will emerge victorious this election season?

Yet amidst this political ferment, a conspicuous silence has become increasingly noticeable.

Rahul Gandhi's extended absence has evolved into the most discussed aspect of Bihar's electoral landscape.

The Congress leader last set foot in Bihar on September 1, concluding his 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' with a rally in Patna. During that appearance, he delivered passionate remarks on unemployment, social justice, and educational reform, proclaiming: "If Bihar rises, India rises".

His performance suggested an intent to assume a forceful and influential role in Bihar's political arena.

However, nearly two months have elapsed since. This absence becomes particularly glaring when contrasted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, all of whom have conducted numerous public rallies throughout the state during this period.

At the grassroots level, the Congress campaign appears to lack energy, with the absence of strong leadership painfully evident.

Many Congress candidates have begun questioning the delay from party leadership.

One Congress contender, speaking anonymously, admitted: "Constituents inquire about our top leader's whereabouts. What response can we offer? Without the Gandhi family's presence, how can we persuade voters?"

A youthful Congress activist from Bhagalpur expressed similar concerns: "We're displaying posters, organizing roadshows, and engaging with citizens daily, but without Rahul Gandhi's presence on stage, this campaign feels incomplete. The public wants to hear from him."

While Tejashwi Yadav spearheads the campaign effort, Congress's tepid participation has irritated their coalition partner.
