A tragic incident unfolded Saturday night when a 22-year-old man lost his life while performing a high-speed motorcycle stunt in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district.

Aniket, a BTech student from Nagchala in the Balh area, was filming the dangerous maneuver for social media content when the fatal accident occurred at approximately 1 am near the Malori Tunnel along the Kirtapur-Manali four-lane highway.

Witnesses reported seeing sparks emanating from the motorcycle as it reached maximum velocity moments before Aniket lost control and crashed. Initial investigation findings indicate he suffered a broken neck that resulted in his immediate death. The young man was reportedly known among his followers for regularly posting motorcycle stunt videos on his Instagram account.

Footage recovered from the scene reveals a videographer actively encouraging Aniket just moments before the devastating crash. Law enforcement officials have subsequently named this videographer as an accused party in the case, alleging that he prompted Aniket to attempt the hazardous stunt. Authorities have seized mobile phones and camera equipment containing footage related to the incident as evidence.

The case has been registered at the Tourist and Traffic Police Station in Nagchala, and Aniket's body was transported to Medical College Nerchowk for post-mortem examination.

This incident follows other recent social media-related tragedies across India. In Puri, Odisha, a 15-year-old boy died after being struck by a train while recording content on railway tracks near Janakdevpur station. Mobile footage recovered showed him filming himself as the train approached. The Odisha Railway Police recovered his remains and sent them for autopsy.

In August, another social media tragedy occurred when a 22-year-old YouTuber from Odisha's Koraput district disappeared and drowned at Duduma waterfall while creating content for his channel. Despite extensive search efforts, authorities were unable to locate him.
