A pregnant woman in Rajasthan has died six months after her wedding, with her family accusing her husband, a police department clerk, of fatal domestic abuse related to dowry demands. Authorities are investigating the suspicious death that occurred in Tonk district as the victim's brother claims repeated harassment and physical violence.

A pregnant woman has been found dead under suspicious circumstances in Tonk district of Rajasthan, according to police reports on Saturday.

The tragedy occurred around 12:30 am on Friday within the jurisdiction of Old Tonk police station.

Family members of the deceased have made serious allegations against her husband, who works as a clerk at the Superintendent of Police's office, claiming he beat her to death.

The victim, identified as Manisha, had married Kuldeep Nayak approximately six months before her death.

Prahlad, Manisha's brother from Mamdoli in Sawai Madhopur district, has alleged that Kuldeep repeatedly demanded dowry from the family. According to Prahlad, Kuldeep would use his position within the police department as a means to threaten and intimidate Manisha's family when their dowry demands weren't satisfied.

The brother further stated that Kuldeep frequently prevented Manisha from communicating with her relatives. He reportedly subjected her to physical abuse on multiple occasions, including incidents before important festivals like Raksha Bandhan and Diwali.

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that they have registered a case regarding the incident and investigations are currently underway.
