Bengaluru/Mysuru:
Two sisters lost their lives due to LPG gas leakage from a gas geyser on Saturday morning, according to police reports.
Police stated that Gulfam (23) and her younger sister Simran Taj (20) died in the bathroom after inhaling the leaked LPG gas.
Authorities confirmed that while the geyser emitted the gas, no fire occurred.
The girls' father, Altaf, became concerned when they remained in the washroom for an extended period. Upon forcing the door open, he discovered his daughters unconscious.
He immediately rushed them to the hospital with help from other family members, but they were pronounced dead on arrival.
In a separate incident on the same day, one person was killed and three others were injured in a cooking gas cylinder explosion in KR Puram, Bengaluru, police reported.
The blast occurred in Triveni Nagar, Bengaluru, causing the building to collapse and damaging neighboring houses, according to police.
The injured individuals have been hospitalized for treatment.
