UP Minister Baby Rani Maurya Escapes Unhurt After Truck Collision on Agra-Lucknow Expressway

Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Baby Rani Maurya narrowly escaped injury when a truck experienced a tire blowout and collided with her official vehicle on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. The minister was returning to Lucknow after attending programs in Hathras when the accident occurred in Firozabad district. Despite significant damage to her car, Maurya remained unharmed and continued her journey in another vehicle.

Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Baby Rani Maurya narrowly escaped injury when a truck collided with her car on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on Friday night, according to an official statement.

The incident took place near the 56th kilometer mark in Firozabad as the minister for women's welfare and child development was returning to Lucknow after attending various functions in Hathras, confirmed Sirsaganj SDM Anivesh Kumar.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:40 pm when a truck traveling ahead of the minister's vehicle experienced a sudden tire blowout. This caused the truck driver to lose control, resulting in the vehicle skidding and striking Maurya's car.

Although the minister's driver managed to maintain control of their vehicle, the car sustained significant damage in the collision. Fortunately, Maurya emerged unharmed from the incident and continued her journey to Lucknow in a different vehicle.

In a subsequent post on social media platform X, Minister Maurya expressed gratitude stating, "I am safe by the infinite grace of Parampita Parameshwar and all of you, my dear well-wishers."

Officials noted that traffic on the expressway was being routed through a single carriageway at the time of the accident.
