60-Year-Old Man Attacks Wife With Machete On Busy Karnataka Street: Shocking Video Emerges

In a horrific incident in Karnataka's Vijayapura district, a 60-year-old man was captured on video attacking his wife with a machete on a busy street. The disturbing footage shows the assailant, identified as Yamanappa Madar, wielding the weapon while pursuing his 50-year-old wife Anusuya Madar in Sindagi town near Anand Talkies.

The video, which has now gone viral, depicts the man wearing a cap and carrying a plastic tote in one hand while repeatedly striking his wife with the machete in his other hand. At one point, the woman falls to the ground, but the attacks continue relentlessly.

According to police reports, the violent assault stemmed from a domestic quarrel between the couple. Further footage shows the attacker walking away after the assault, only to be struck down himself when a bystander hits him with a wooden log, causing him to collapse on the road.

Both husband and wife were subsequently transported to Sindagi Taluk Hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have confirmed that their conditions are currently stable. Police have taken Yamanappa Madar into custody following the incident.
