Tejashwi Yadav Claims Nitish Kumar Will Be Sidelined If NDA Wins Bihar Elections, Promises Corruption-Free Government

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav claims that Nitish Kumar will not become Chief Minister even if NDA wins the upcoming Bihar elections, asserting the state remains poor despite 20 years of JD(U)-NDA rule. As the INDIA bloc's CM candidate, Yadav promises to deliver a corruption-free government, employment opportunities, and significant development within 20 months that NDA couldn't achieve in 20 years, challenging BJP's control over Bihar politics.

Nitish Kumar Will Not Be Made Chief Minister If NDA Wins: Tejashwi Yadav

Tejashwi Yadav vowed to establish a transparent administration if the opposition alliance secures victory in the upcoming elections.

In Patna, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav declared on Friday that Bihar continues to struggle with poverty despite two decades of JD(U)-led NDA governance. He asserted that Nitish Kumar would not be appointed as chief minister if the ruling coalition wins another term.

Yadav further claimed that Kumar has been effectively captured by the BJP, with two influential figures from Gujarat—implicitly referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah—now "controlling" Bihar's affairs.

As the INDIA bloc's chief ministerial candidate, Yadav accused the central government of protecting corrupt officials and criminals throughout the state.

During a campaign rally in Simri Bakhtiyarpur, Saharsa district, Yadav stated, "Amit Shah has clearly indicated that elected legislators will determine Bihar's CM after elections. Nitish Kumar will not become CM if the NDA secures another victory."

At another election gathering in Keoti, Darbhanga district, he mockingly remarked about Kumar, the JD(U) supremo: "Our 'chacha' (Nitish Kumar) has lost control. He's been hijacked by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, who are managing Bihar from a distance."

The RJD leader urged citizens to support a "Bihari" rather than "Bahri" (outsiders) in the forthcoming assembly elections.

Yadav promised to establish a corruption-free government if the opposition alliance assumes power, ensuring responsiveness to public concerns while providing affordable healthcare and employment opportunities.

"As a Bihari, I'm distressed by our state's poor condition. It pains me to witness widespread unemployment, rampant corruption, and criminals operating with impunity. Despite the NDA's 20-year rule in Bihar and 11 years at the national level, our state maintains the lowest per capita income and farmers remain impoverished," Yadav asserted.

He also accused the central government of weaponizing investigative agencies against opposition figures, including himself and his family members.

"Lalu Yadav never feared Modi. His son likewise refuses to be intimidated," he declared.

Yadav emphasized that citizens desire a Bihar "free of corruption and crime, attracting investment for development."

He appealed to voters: "Give Tejashwi an opportunity. What the NDA government failed to accomplish in 20 years, I will achieve in just 20 months."

The RJD leader announced that if elected, the INDIA bloc would "reduce LPG cylinder prices from approximately Rs 1,000 to Rs 500, increase elderly pensions from Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,500, regularize contractual workers and community organizers, and provide government employment to every household in Bihar."

Highlighting achievements from his brief tenure as deputy CM, Yadav stated, "I created jobs within 17 months. Subsequently, the NDA government failed to maintain that momentum."

He continued, "We developed IT, tourism, and sports policies. We attracted investments worth Rs 50,000 crore. We constructed STPs (Sewage Treatment Plants) across 20 cities. We expanded reservation limits and conducted a caste-based census."

Challenging the Prime Minister's employment record, Yadav asked, "PM Modi promised to create 2 crore jobs annually. Where's the accounting for 22 crore jobs over 11 years?"

Drawing a distinction, he emphasized, "Tejashwi delivers on his promises. He doesn't make empty commitments."

Accompanied by Deputy CM candidate Mukesh Sahani, Yadav revealed that "another deputy CM candidate representing a different social segment will be announced by the INDIA bloc within days."

At the Keoti rally in Darbhanga, Tejashwi declared, "The INDIA bloc is working to preserve the Constitution, democracy, and fraternity. We will prevent any attempts to manipulate our Constitution and democracy through divisive Hindu-Muslim politics."

He assured that an INDIA bloc government would implement "zero tolerance" toward criminal elements.

"Regardless of affiliation, anyone committing crimes will face consequences. Even if Tejashwi's shadow becomes involved in illegal activity, it will be punished," the RJD leader affirmed.

Yadav promised to establish agro-based and food processing industries in the region if his party gains power, ensuring sugar mills operate effectively.

"Under our administration, Makhana will be packaged locally, not in other states, before export to international markets," he stated.

During his third rally of the day in Muzaffarpur, Yadav observed, "Muzaffarpur is globally renowned for its litchis. What has the NDA government done to promote this fruit? Absolutely nothing."

He confidently predicted that he "will establish a world record in employment generation once his alliance secures victory in the 2025 assembly election."

Speaking with reporters in Patna earlier that day, Yadav remarked, "The BJP establishes factories in Gujarat while seeking electoral success in Bihar. This strategy will fail."

Responding to PM Narendra Modi's allegations regarding the 'jungle raj' during previous RJD governance in Bihar, he countered, "The prime minister himself identified 55 scams under Nitish Kumar's administration. What action has he taken? 'Jungle raj' exists where scams go unpunished and criminals roam freely."

He claimed that BJP-governed states experience the highest criminal activity rates nationwide.

Yadav concluded, "I speak only truth, not half-truths or falsehoods. Everyone knows I deliver on my promises. If the INDIA bloc wins, Tejashwi will become CM, and people will become 'chinta mukt' (worry-free). I will ensure crime reduction and establish a corruption-free government in Bihar."
