Twenty families were safely evacuated from a residential building in Ghaziabad following a severe fire incident.
Ghaziabad:
A significant fire erupted in a multi-storey residential building in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday evening, according to police reports. Fortunately, all residents escaped without injuries.
The blaze initially began around 8:30 pm on a balcony of a ground-floor apartment in Divya Apartments, located in the Shakti Khand-2 area of Indirapuram. The flames rapidly spread throughout the building. Emergency responders successfully evacuated all twenty families residing in the building.
Fire department personnel quickly brought the situation under control. According to their assessment, the fire caused substantial damage to household belongings, including furniture and electronic devices in multiple apartments.

"Upon noticing the fire, residents promptly alerted both police and fire departments about the emergency. We dispatched several vehicles from Indirapuram police station, and fire trucks arrived promptly at the location," stated an official involved in the response efforts.
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire incident.
