Chirag Paswan Dismisses Tejashwi Yadav's Election Promises as "Dreams of Mungeri Lal" Amid Bihar Alliance Turmoil

LJPRV chief Chirag Paswan has criticized RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav's campaign promises as unrealistic, highlighting the internal conflicts plaguing the Grand Alliance in Bihar. Paswan pointed to seat-sharing disputes and leadership struggles between Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, contrasting it with the NDA's unified campaign under Nitish Kumar's leadership. The remarks come as Congress attempts to project unity with a scheduled joint press conference despite ongoing coalition tensions.

Dreams Of Mungeri Lal: Chirag Paswan Mocks Tejashwi Yadav's Poll Promises

Patna: Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas (LJPRV) chief Chirag Paswan launched a scathing attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday, dismissing his electoral promises to regularize contractual employees and Jivika Didis as mere "dreams of Mungeri Lal."

During a press interaction in Patna, Paswan remarked, "He should first focus on forming a government before making such claims. Grand Alliance leaders are entangled in internal conflicts, which has effectively dismantled the Mahagathbandhan. If Tejashwi Yadav still believes he will secure power, he is simply indulging in daydreams."

Paswan also criticized the Congress party, stating, "They are now talking about organizing a joint press conference after considerable delay. Congress election coordinator Ashok Gehlot has arrived in Patna only after the Grand Alliance has collapsed. Where is Rahul Gandhi, who was previously traveling around and spreading misinformation regarding the Special Intensive Revision? Don't Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav have a moral obligation to resolve seat-sharing issues maturely through direct discussions?"

He declared the alliance "completely finished," highlighting internal disputes over constituency allocations. "They've fielded opposing candidates in 10-12 constituencies. Consider a district with six constituencies where they're competing against each other in one - how can residents of the other five believe in their unity? They lack understanding of how to establish, administer, or sustain alliances," Paswan explained.

The LJPRV chief asserted that Bihar's citizens have recognized the Grand Alliance's unreliability in governance. "The victory pattern we witnessed in Haryana will be replicated in Bihar. Congress faced defeat there, and the Grand Alliance will experience similar failure here," he predicted.

Addressing leadership issues within the opposition coalition, Paswan observed, "There's ongoing competition between Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav regarding alliance leadership. Meanwhile, all NDA partners have collectively decided to campaign under Nitish Kumar's leadership. No alliance member has objected to his appointment. We've completed seat allocations, announced candidates, submitted nominations, and are actively campaigning."

Taking aim at Nitish Kumar's critics, Paswan added, "Those questioning Nitish Kumar's health should observe his active campaign participation. What are the Grand Alliance leaders doing? Why aren't they engaged in field campaigns?"

Earlier that day, Congress election coordinator and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot met with RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in Patna, insisting that "all is well within the Grand Alliance" and announcing a joint press conference scheduled for Thursday.
