Guwahati:
The streets of Nalbari in Assam transformed into an emotional gathering on Wednesday as thousands participated in the "Moiu Zubeen, Amiu Zubeen" (I am Zubeen, We are Zubeen) rally organized by the state BJP, demanding justice for beloved musician and cultural icon Zubeen Garg.

Students and elderly fans alike traveled from surrounding towns and villages, displaying banners, portraits, and placards featuring Zubeen's image. The massive turnout demonstrated how deeply the singer's unexpected death has affected Assam's collective consciousness.
People of all ages gathered from nearby communities, carrying various tributes to honor Zubeen's memory. The significant attendance highlighted the profound impact the singer's sudden passing has had on the hearts of Assamese people.
Union Minister of State Pabitra Margherita, along with Assam Cabinet Ministers Jayanta Mallabarua and Chandra Mohan Patowary, GMDA President Narayan Deka, State BJP General Secretary Anup Barman, and State Youth Morcha President Rakesh Das spearheaded the rally.
Minister Jayanta Mallabarua emphasized the significance of the gathering.
"More than 75,000 people assembled here today, not for political reasons but seeking justice. Zubeen was part of every Assamese household. The public is calling for a time-bound SIT investigation, and we are confident the court will soon deliver justice," he stated.
Union Minister Pabitra Margherita, who maintained a close friendship with Zubeen spanning decades, became emotional while addressing the crowd.
"He wasn't merely a singer, he was my brother and closest friend. Zubeen brought me back to Assam and even named my magazine Maya. Every BJP member and every Assamese person is demanding justice for him," Margherita expressed.
He further revealed that the BJP intends to establish music schools in each constituency and erect a life-size statue of Zubeen Garg to honor his enduring legacy.
