On Wednesday afternoon, seven individuals sustained injuries when a section of an aging residential building collapsed in central Mumbai, according to civic officials.

The collapse took place at the single-storey Fanuswala Building in Madanpura. Officials reported that based on preliminary information, a portion of the first floor gave way at approximately 12:48 pm, though they did not specify the exact age of the structure.

The seven injured victims were promptly transported to two different hospitals for medical treatment, as confirmed by a civic official.

Emergency response was swift, with four fire engines dispatched to the scene. Fire brigade personnel are currently engaged in debris removal operations at the site.
