A disturbing incident unfolded in Mumbra, near Mumbai, where an individual killed a stray dog and was subsequently discovered manipulating one of its eyeballs on the street. This horrifying event occurred on the outskirts of Mumbai in Maharashtra.
Police officials stated that the attack took place on Tuesday evening when the stray canine was assaulted on a public thoroughfare. According to witnesses, the perpetrator removed the dog's eyeball and was observed playing with it openly as pedestrians passed by. Shocked onlookers promptly notified the Mumbra police authorities.
Several videos circulating widely on social media platforms show the individual sitting nonchalantly beside the dog's remains while handling an eyeball.
Representatives from animal welfare organizations quickly arrived at the police station demanding severe punishment for the perpetrator.
Authorities have filed a case under section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which addresses offenses resulting in grievous injury, along with relevant sections under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
