Fatal Stabbing After Motorcycle Collision on Diwali Night in Madhya Pradesh: CCTV Captures Deadly Attack

A 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed following a minor motorcycle collision in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh during Diwali celebrations. Man Stabbed to Death After Bike Collision on Diwali Night in Madhya Pradesh

A 35-year-old man was fatally stabbed following a dispute over a motorcycle collision in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The tragic incident occurred at approximately 3 am during Diwali celebrations and was captured by CCTV cameras.

The four perpetrators remain unidentified after nearly 20 hours since the incident took place.

The victim, Sandeep Rathore, was traveling home on his motorcycle accompanied by his friend Vikas and a young woman when the confrontation happened. Police reports indicate that a minor collision escalated into a heated argument. Shortly after, Rathore stopped his motorcycle and allegedly attacked a young man who had been following them. The youth initially fled but soon returned with three to four companions.

Sandeep was immediately taken to a hospital, where he subsequently died while receiving medical treatment.

CCTV footage reveals the group surrounding Rathore and stabbing him repeatedly in the neck, back, and abdomen. As Sandeep collapsed onto the road, his frightened companion fled the scene. In a disturbing turn of events, after initially leaving on two motorcycles, the attackers returned to verify whether the victim was still alive before finally departing from the location.

Law enforcement has initiated an extensive search operation, examining local criminal databases and gathering information from informants. BS Tomar, the officer in charge at Kotwali Police Station, confirmed that a murder case has been registered against four unidentified assailants. "We have secured the CCTV footage and multiple teams are working to locate the suspects. We are currently verifying their identities," he stated.

This violent incident occurs at a time when Madhya Pradesh holds the fourth position nationally for murder cases. According to official statistics, the state recorded 1,832 murders in 2023, showing a slight decrease from 1,978 in 2022 and 2,034 in 2021. Uttar Pradesh leads the country with 3,206 reported murder cases.
