The deceased child's body was discovered at the accused's rented residence.

New Delhi:

A five-year-old child was abducted and brutally killed with bricks and a knife by a driver employed in his father's transport business in Delhi's Narela district on Tuesday, with authorities indicating it was likely motivated by revenge.

Police recovered the victim's body from the rented accommodation of Nitu, who has been identified as the primary suspect in the case.

Authorities reported that Nitu has fled and several teams have been dispatched to locate him. Officials mentioned that the suspect had been disciplined by the victim's father just one day prior to the incident.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami stated that authorities received a call reporting the child's kidnapping at 3:30 pm at the Narela Industrial Area police station.

The officer explained that investigation revealed the child had been playing outside his residence when he suddenly disappeared.

Family members and neighbors initiated a search for the boy, and subsequently discovered his body in Nitu's nearby rented accommodation.

"Initial investigation indicated that the child's father, who filed the complaint, operated seven to eight transport vehicles and employed two drivers - Nitu and Wasim.

"On Monday evening, both drivers engaged in an alcohol-fueled argument, during which Nitu allegedly assaulted Wasim," the DCP reported.

When the transport business owner was informed of the situation, he intervened and slapped Nitu multiple times for misconduct, according to police statements.

Feeling humiliated, Nitu abducted the boy on Tuesday while he was playing outside the family home, took him to his rented accommodation, and killed him using bricks and a knife, explained the DCP.

Following the discovery of the crime, police arrived at the scene and transported the child to a nearby medical facility, where physicians pronounced him deceased. Authorities registered an FIR and launched a comprehensive investigation.

"The driver, Nitu, remains at large. Multiple teams have been formed to locate and apprehend him. We are utilizing technical surveillance and local intelligence networks to find the suspect. We are also examining CCTV footage to track the accused," the officer stated.
