Controversy Erupts as Tejashwi Yadav Questions Nitish Kumar's Health After Viral Garland Incident at Bihar NDA Meeting

With only two weeks remaining before Bihar votes in the Assembly election, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has launched a fresh criticism regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's health after a video showing him garlanding a woman at a public meeting began circulating across social media platforms.

The footage displays the 74-year-old JDU chief greeting a woman on stage during an NDA meeting. The woman stands respectfully with folded hands as Kumar attempts to place a garland around her neck. JDU's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha intervenes by stopping the Chief Minister, seemingly suggesting that he should hand the garland to the woman instead.

Kumar initially lowers his hand but then suddenly proceeds to place the garland around the woman's neck. As the audience applauds, the Chief Minister remarks into the microphone, "Ee gajab aadmi hai bhai (He is quite a man)", appearing to reprimand Jha for attempting to restrain his hand.

Tejashwi Yadav shared the viral video and cleverly used the Chief Minister's own words for his caption, stating: "Ee gajab aadmi hai bhai. If the Chief Minister is healthy, why is he behaving like this after reading a written speech?"

Previously serving as Nitish Kumar's Deputy in the Mahagathbandhan government, Tejashwi Yadav has consistently been highlighting concerns about the Chief Minister's health condition throughout the lead-up to the upcoming Bihar elections.

Earlier, he had distributed another video showing Nitish Kumar participating in a virtual meeting from his residence. In that recording, Kumar appears to be repeatedly greeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Could this mental state of the Chief Minister be attributed to his close associates who might be tampering with his food at the behest of alliance partner BJP?" Tejashwi Yadav questioned.

"For some time now, the Chief Minister has been exhibiting behavior that indicates he may not be in a proper mental state. He has made inappropriate comments about my mother Rabri Devi, a former Chief Minister, as well as women in general. On one occasion, he was captured on camera behaving inappropriately while the national anthem played in the background."

"It is evident that the Chief Minister no longer possesses the capacity to effectively manage his government. A syndicate is currently controlling operations, and this will be exposed soon," he asserted.
