The Sanskrit teacher accused of assaulting a student is currently evading authorities.

A shocking video has emerged showing a Sanskrit teacher at Sri Guru Tippeswamy Temple's residential Veda school in Karnataka physically assaulting a student who was using a mobile phone. The footage, which has gone viral, has triggered widespread condemnation.

In the disturbing clip, the teacher, identified as Veeresh Hiremath, can be seen confronting the student for several minutes before forcefully pushing him to the ground and kicking him repeatedly. Reports indicate that the teacher attacked the boy because he was using a phone to contact his parents.

The teacher continued the assault despite the student suffering an injury to his hand during the incident.

Following the incident, Gangadhar, the temple's executive officer, filed a formal complaint, and the Nayakanahatti Police have registered a case in response.

Shortly after authorities opened their investigation, the accused teacher disappeared and is now being sought by police.

Law enforcement officials have initiated a search operation to locate the teacher, according to police statements.

The tehsildar has visited the school to assess the situation firsthand.

Several parents have gathered near the school to protest, demanding immediate and appropriate action against the teacher responsible.

Laxmi Hebbalkar, the minister for women and child welfare, has promised decisive action in response to the incident.

"I have just learned about this deeply disturbing incident from Nayakanahatti, where a school student was subjected to brutal assault by a teacher. No one should ever be treated in such a manner, especially not children. I will personally look into this case and ensure that strict action is taken against the person found guilty. I have also directed the officials of my department to submit a detailed report on the incident at the earliest," the minister stated.
