Air Chief Marshal AP Singh Celebrates Diwali With Military Personnel In Strategic Ladakh Region

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh visited Ladakh to celebrate Diwali with Indian Air Force and Army personnel, commending their dedication in guarding India's borders under challenging high-altitude conditions. Similarly, Deputy Chief Air Marshal Bharti visited troops at Siachen Glacier, while Ladakh's Lieutenant Governor joined celebrations at Rinchen Auditorium, honoring servicemen braving extreme conditions to protect the nation.

Air Chief Marshal Visits Air Force, Army Personnel In Ladakh On Diwali

Air Chief Marshal A P Singh made a special visit to the Ladakh sector on Diwali day to meet with deployed military personnel.

During the Diwali celebration, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, who serves as Chief of the Air Staff, traveled to the Ladakh region where he engaged with Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Army personnel stationed there on Monday.

The Indian Air Force shared on their X platform that the Air Chief Marshal expressed appreciation for the dedication shown by IAF and Army personnel in protecting India's borders, while also conveying Diwali wishes to all the servicemen.

"On the occasion of Diwali, Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, visited the Ladakh sector and interacted with IAF and IA personnel deployed in the region. He commended them for their dedication and professionalism in safeguarding the nation's frontiers under challenging high-altitude conditions and extended festive greetings to all," the Indian Air Force stated in their social media post.

In a parallel gesture, Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti, who holds the position of Deputy Chief of the Air Staff, visited the Siachen Glacier to celebrate Diwali with troops serving in this strategic area. His visit also included a stop at Terchey village near Thoise, where he met with local residents and shared Diwali greetings.

Earlier, Ladakh's Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta participated in Diwali celebrations with Indian Army personnel.

The celebration took place at Rinchen Auditorium, organized by the Fire & Fury Corps. The Lt Governor was accompanied by Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 14 Corps; Major General Praveen Chhabra, General Officer Commanding of the 72 Sub Area; along with Brigadier Umesh Parab and Brigadier Ajay Katoch as they joined the uniformed services in celebrating the festival.

The Lt Governor conveyed Diwali wishes on behalf of all Ladakh residents and expressed deep respect for the bravery, dedication, and courage demonstrated by the Indian Army personnel who serve in harsh conditions, enduring extreme cold temperatures while guarding the nation's border regions.
