Hyderabad Man's Diwali Gesture: Ordering Sweets Across Delivery Platforms to Gift Back to Delivery Agents Goes Viral

The video quickly gained viral attention across social media platforms.

A digital creator from Hyderabad transformed Diwali into a special celebration for delivery personnel throughout the city. Gundeti Mahendhar Reddy purchased boxes of sweets using multiple delivery apps including Swiggy, Blinkit, BigBasket, and Zepto.

In his Instagram video, Reddy can be seen presenting the delivered sweets back to the delivery partners upon their arrival. He accompanied each gift with warm "Happy Diwali" wishes.

The video featured a text overlay stating, "We ordered sweets for Diwali from Swiggy, Blinkit, Zepto, and BigBasket and gave them to the delivery partners who brought them."

Reddy captioned his post: "This Diwali, we decided to sweeten the smiles that make our deliveries special. Ordered sweets from different apps."

The heartwarming gesture received widespread appreciation online.

Reddy explained that his motivation for creating the video was to inspire others to perform similar acts of kindness during Diwali and future festivals. He emphasized that gaining views wasn't his intention, adding that he would remove the video after the festival if people misunderstood his purpose.

"People who are saying that this video was made for views, please at least bring a smile to 10 people's faces and come back. I will definitely delete this reel," he stated.

Previously, two Hyderabad vloggers made headlines for surprising delivery agents from Swiggy Instamart and Blinkit by gifting them the items they had ordered for delivery. Their video caption read, "We ordered gifts from Swiggy and Blinkit and gave them to the delivery partners who brought them." The video documenting the deliveries and the agents' initial surprise followed by joyful reactions also went viral across social media.
