UP Man Arrested for Killing Wife with Hammer Following Domestic Disputes

On Sunday, a man reportedly killed his wife using a hammer after a domestic dispute escalated, according to police reports.

The authorities identified the suspect as Premchandra Gupta.

Police stated that a verbal confrontation erupted between the couple. During this altercation, Gupta attacked his spouse, Gautami Devi, striking her head and neck with a hammer.

Circle Officer Rajesh Singh reported, "The wounded woman was removed from the premises and immediately transported to the medical college, where medical professionals pronounced her deceased." Gupta was subsequently apprehended, and authorities filed an FIR against him. During questioning, he admitted that his wife frequently engaged in arguments with him and that he acted impulsively due to "daily conflicts." Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
