Heroic Pet Dog Rocky Defeats Deadly Cobra to Protect Owner in Kerala Home

The courageous pet dog is now recovering after several days of intensive veterinary treatment.

In a remarkable display of bravery reminiscent of the biblical David versus Goliath tale, a loyal pet dog named Rocky faced off against a deadly cobra. The dog's sole advantage in this dangerous confrontation was its unwavering determination to protect its owner at any cost – which ultimately proved sufficient, though Rocky suffered what could have been a lethal snake bite in the process.

The dramatic incident occurred around 1:30 pm on Tuesday when a venomous cobra invaded the yard of Subash Krishna's residence in Kerala's Alappuzha. With Krishna working abroad in the Middle East, his wife was alone at home. Rocky, their devoted pet, immediately positioned himself between the dangerous reptile and his owner. A fierce battle ensued, culminating with Rocky successfully killing the cobra.

Krishna's wife, alerted by the commotion outside, emerged to discover the dead serpent and noticed that Rocky had sustained a bite during the confrontation. Acting quickly, she rushed the injured dog to a local veterinarian, who subsequently referred them to several hospitals for specialized care. Eventually, a medical team led by veterinary surgeon Dr. Bipin Prakash administered effective treatment, and Rocky is now steadily recovering.

Upon learning about Rocky's heroic act from his wife, Subash Krishna immediately returned to Kerala from the Middle East and has remained by his loyal pet's side throughout the recovery process.
