Jan Suraaj Party has nominated industrialist Niraj Singh as their candidate for the Sheohar constituency in the upcoming Bihar election.
Patna:
Niraj Singh's life journey reads like an inspirational success story, transforming from a security guard in Delhi to the owner of a business empire with a Rs 400 crore turnover. At 38, this Bihar industrialist is now embarking on a political career as Jan Suraaj Party's candidate for the Sheohar constituency in Bihar's forthcoming election.
An Extraordinary Journey
Born in Mathurapur village in Sheohar district of Bihar, Niraj Singh came from humble beginnings. After completing his Class X board examinations at just 13 years old, he immediately sought employment to help support his family. When no one would hire someone so young, he began selling petrol and diesel in his village. Approximately three years later, he relocated to Delhi seeking better opportunities and found work as a security guard. The following year, he moved to Pune where he started as an office attendant at a private company. Through determination and hard work, he advanced to become a human resources professional before establishing his own grain business in 2010.
His entrepreneurial efforts paid dividends as his business flourished. Subsequently, he founded Usha Industries, which specializes in bricks, building blocks, tiles, and various ceramic products. Singh has further diversified his business interests into road construction and recently established a petrol pump.
According to reports, his Motihari-based company now boasts an impressive Rs 400 crore turnover and provides employment to approximately 2,000 individuals.
From Modest Beginnings to Prosperity
There was a time when Niraj Singh didn't even own a bicycle and had to borrow one from neighbors for running errands. Today, he possesses a Range Rover and several luxury vehicles. Singh lives with his wife, two sons, and parents, alongside his two brothers. He also holds a law degree.
His supporters highlight his commitment to social welfare initiatives, including sponsoring weddings for underprivileged women, organizing free health camps, and arranging pilgrimages for senior citizens.
Singh is scheduled to file his nomination papers tomorrow. "True politics changes people's lives. Bihar has everything, we just need the will to do it," he states, as he prepares for his political debut with Prashant Kishor's party.
