Hyderabad:

A significant initiative to digitalize and modernize technical education was launched today in Hyderabad's Medchal district, marking the beginning of an extensive collaboration between the Malla Reddy Group of Institutions and Google.

The program, named "Digital Campus on Google Cloud," aims to provide advanced training in cloud computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to 50,000 students, representing one of the most ambitious education technology implementations in India's private sector.

Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma formally launched the program, stressing the critical importance of providing the state's substantial student population with digital skills relevant to today's industries.

The collaboration centers on incorporating Google Cloud's curriculum and certification pathways directly into the academic structure across the institution's numerous colleges.

This innovative approach is crafted to address the skills gap by enabling a large group of students to gain practical experience and internationally recognized professional certifications alongside their traditional degree programs.

Speaking to attendees, Governor Varma emphasized the significance of such partnerships in preparing India's workforce for the nation's 2047 development goals.

"The future of the nation rests on how effectively we can harness technology to empower our youth," the Governor remarked, advocating for a responsible and innovative approach to digital education.

The ceremony included participation from Google's India Education and EdTech leaders, Vaibhav Kumar Srivastava and Siddharth Dalwadi, demonstrating the technology giant's dedication to major upskilling initiatives in the region.

This program emerges as Hyderabad experiences intensified focus on digital transformation in education. Other global technology companies have also launched similar large-scale upskilling programs targeting tens of thousands of students and professionals in AI and cloud technology in partnership with the state government this year, establishing Hyderabad as a crucial center for developing future-ready talent.

The inauguration event was attended by thousands of students and faculty members and featured a spectacular display with a mass release of balloons.
