Tejashwi Yadav's Rs 8.1 Crore Asset Declaration: Inside the RJD Leader's Financial Portfolio Ahead of Bihar Elections

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has declared assets totaling approximately Rs 8.1 crore in the affidavit submitted during his nomination filing for Bihar's Raghopur assembly seat on Wednesday. According to the official documents, his wife Rajshree alias Rachel Iris Godinho possesses assets valued at Rs 1.88 crore.

The Raghopur constituency is scheduled for voting in the first phase of the Bihar election on November 6. Yadav currently serves as the sitting MLA, having first secured the seat in 2015.

In his disclosure to the returning officer, Yadav's financial portfolio includes moveable assets worth Rs 6.12 crore and immovable properties valued at Rs 1.88 crore. His spouse Rajshree holds immovable assets amounting to Rs 59.69 lakh.

The affidavit reveals that Tejashwi maintains Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, while his wife holds Rs 1 lakh. The RJD leader has multiple bank accounts and carries liabilities of Rs 55.55 lakh, which include joint loans shared with his brother Tej Pratap Yadav and mother Rabri Devi.

His total government dues amount to Rs 1.35 crore. Though Rajshree maintains several bank accounts, she has no reported liabilities or government dues.

Regarding personal possessions, Yadav owns 200 grams of gold, while his wife's assets include 480 grams of gold and 2 kilograms of silver.

Yadav is contesting for a third consecutive term from Raghopur, hoping to secure a hattrick victory. His party is affiliated with the INDIA bloc, which stands in opposition to the BJP and JD(U)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
