Teenage Girl Sexually Assaulted in Ranchi: Police Arrest Five Suspects, Four Remain At Large

In a disturbing incident in Ranchi, authorities report that a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by nine individuals in the Ratu area on Sunday night.

Law enforcement officials confirmed on Monday that they have apprehended five suspects allegedly involved in the crime. "Following extensive raids across multiple locations on Monday, police successfully arrested five of the accused. The victim has also undergone medical examination," stated Superintendent of Police (Rural) Praveen Pushkar.

Efforts are continuing to locate and apprehend the four remaining suspects, according to SP Pushkar.

Ramnarayan Singh, officer-in-charge of Ratu police station, confirmed that "A formal case has been registered under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act."
